As the holidays approach, all of us here at Gathering on the Green would like to take a moment to acknowledge all that we have to be thankful for.
We are fortunate to live in a community that sees so much support from our local residents and companies. We are constantly in awe of the level of generosity we see every day. You make so many things possible that simply couldn’t be done without you. We thank you and want to make sure you now how much we appreciate all that you do. Not only for Gathering on the Green, but for our entire community.
Like many non-profits, we could not exist without the tremendous support we receive from our volunteer community. Throughout the year hundreds of you honor us by giving us your most valuable commodity - your time and energy. Our July event alone takes the better part of a year of planning and a solid week of setting up to put on. Hundreds of people come together, working long and hard hours to make it possible. As much as we try to make it fun, it’s inevitable that some of the tasks fall into the “it’s a dirty job, but somebody’s got to do it” category. Your selfless dedication and hard work pays off and you always make it look easy.
To all of you, I hope that your year has been a good one and that the future holds good things for all of you. You deserve it.
