What to Expect

 

WHERE CAN I PARK?

Parking is available Friday and Saturday on the festival grounds.

WE STRONGLY URGE THAT YOU ALLOW ENOUGH TIME TO GET INTO THE GROUNDS AND PARK BEFORE THE CONCERTS. HIGHLAND ROAD IS A TWO LANE ROAD AND GETS CONGESTED. CARPOOL, COME EARLY AND ENJOY THE PARK. WE HAVE MANY FOOD AND BEVERAGE VENDORS ON HAND TO HELP MAKE IT AN MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE..

The parking lots open at 4:00pm, The gates open at 4:30pm.

There are 3 parking areas:

Preferred Parking, $30: Use the east entrance of Rotary Park on W. Highland Rd. for Preferred, Handicap, Sponsor Village and Volunteer Parking. Please note that Handicap parking requires a state issued license plate or hangtag.

General Parking, $20: Use the west entrance of Rotary Park on W. Highland Rd.

Off Site/MATC Parking, $10 (SATURDAY ONLY): This parking area is located at the MATC North Campus on Highland Road about 1 mile west of the Gathering on the Green festival grounds. Shuttle service will be available beginning 5pm until 30 minutes after the conclusion of the performance.

The parking areas are not monitored. Please leave all pets, valuables, and things you don't wish to lose at home. Gathering on the Green is not responsible for damage, lost or stolen items.

IS THE FESTIVAL HANDICAPPED-FRIENDLY?

We are proud to provide handicapped parking at the East entrance. Special handicapped seating areas are also available. If you need help within or outside of the festival grounds, please speak with one of our volunteers and we would be happy to assist you.

IS THE CONCERT FAMILY FRIENDLY?

Absolutely! Kids love to get up and dance along with the music. In fact, children 12 and under are always free (lawn/general admission) when accompanied by a paid adult.

ARE CARRY-INS ALLOWED?

We feature the Best of Milwaukee's food trucks to provide a wide variety of food for purchase. We also offer beer, wine, soda and water. One of the best parts about Gathering on the Green are the amazing picnics. We do allow you to bring in your own food and beverage. Please note that hard liquors are not allowed. Please note: there are no grills allowed on the grounds.

CAN MY DOG COME?

Unfortunately, no. Your furry little friend will have to stay home for this event.

IS SMOKING ALLOWED IN THE PARK?

By local ordinance, no smoking is allowed in the park.

CAN I BRING MY OWN LAWN CHAIR?

Yes. Small lawn chairs are allowed in the lawn seating section behind the "ridge," which is indicated by signs and is roped off to designate its boundaries. We do not provide lawn chairs. You can take a look at the park map here.

WHAT KIND OF CHAIR IS PROVIDED IN THE RESERVED SEATING SECTIONS?

Our reserved seating sections provide "luxurious" white plastic lawn chairs with arm rests as well as folding chairs.

ARE THERE FOOD AND BEVERAGE VENDORS?

We are pleased to offer the best of Milwaukee's food trucks as well as several beverage stations.

IS THERE AN ATM?

Yes. It is located in the food and beverage area.

WHAT IF IT RAINS?

In the case of the dreaded R word (rain)...the show will go on as planned. In the event of severe weather we will get as much of the show in as possible or cancel. (You may want to bring your rain gear just in case!) There are no refunds available for tickets even for a rain event.

IS THERE EARLY BIRD LAWN SETUP?

There is no "Early Bird" set up available. We have discontinued this availability. Setup is available when the gates open.

 

ADDITIONAL HELPFUL INFORMATION FOR YOUR LAWN AREA EXPERIENCE

  • Please respect your neighbors.
  • Use only the amount of space that you need.
  • Any tie-down stakes must not rise above ground level.
  • Chairs may not be tied together.
  • Blanket areas may have very low beach chairs (legs 6” high).
  • Only a small table may be used in your space.
